Après l’École des Beaux-arts, Normand Desjardins, installé en Gaspésie depuis 1978, il enseigne et pratique son art. Par l`intermédiaire des médiums de l`aquarelle, peinture à l`acrylique ainsi que le montage 3-D environnemental, il s`évade dans un monde qui l`enchante. La Gaspésie - Attiré par son histoire riche, son environnement captivant et surtout, par son peuple chaleureux, il la documente depuis 40 ans et puise dans ses éléments pour en arriver à une interprétation qui prête à un monde parfois métaphysique.

Normand Desjardins is a graduate of l’École des Beaux Arts -Montreal, and from McGill University specializing in art-education-1978. Using a variety of art mediums, Normand has documented the Gaspe coast for over 40 years all the while continuing to explore and create works of art which exemplify its vibrant beauty, its people, its history and pristine spiritual landscapes. His interpretive style varies from figurative realism to alternative expressionism, alluding to the fantasy and the metaphysical world.
